Nearly 36 million Americans – including 12 million children – currently face hunger. With such an overwhelming need, it's no surprise that the fight against hunger requires help and support from individuals and communities across our nation.

Kellogg is teaming up with Samantha Harris – correspondent and fill-in anchor of CBS-TV's "The Insider" – to announce a special program that makes it easy for consumers to help feed those in need. The partnership with Samantha is another component of our multi-phased campaign to increase awareness and raise funds to fight the growing hunger epidemic in this country.
"Kellogg truly is dedicated to this cause," Samantha says. "I think it's extraordinary that they not only made such a significant donation of more than 55 million cereal servings, but they're also making it easier for people to pitch in. I encourage others to follow their lead and give what they can."
To raise awareness for our program and for the cause, Samantha was in New York June 17 to present the first box from the company's commitment to donate an entire day's worth of cereal production to Feeding America. The box will be presented to the Food Bank For New York City's Community Kitchen of West Harlem. Samantha will be serving as spokesperson for the Kellogg program, conducting television, radio and print media interviews.
The online donation program will run for three months or until the company reaches its goal of $1 million in total donations, and distributes 200,000 coupons.
