The Rice Krispies brand recently redesigned the site to provide easier access to the more than 70 recipes available online. It leverages state-of-the-art, visual search technology that allows visitors to browse, click and view images of the recipes, much like flipping through the pages of a recipe book.
"The new site is designed to highlight the various ways to enjoy Rice Krispies Treats, while making it easier for consumers to search for and find their favorite recipes," says Karl Miller, Brand Manager, Rice Krispies.
Holiday-themed recipes will be a primary emphasis on the site, as these occasions tend to be when consumers make the most recipes. For instance, the site currently features recipes for Coconut Ghosts, Cocoa Halloween Cats, Slithery Snakes and other spooky, Halloween-themed treats on the main page.
When redesigning the site, the brand considered consumer feedback about how the site should look, particularly requests to see more pictures of the recipes. As a result, more than 40 new recipe images were taken.
"Nothing entices to consumers to make a recipe more than seeing a photo of the final product," Karl says. "The new pictures are meant to show moms how easy these recipes really are to make.
"The Rice Krispies brand continues to be about meaningful moments together," he continues, "and our renewed focus on recipes complements our 'Childhood Is Calling' program nicely. The fun and simple recipes on our website provide moms with one more way to make lasting memories with their kids."
