'Be Victorious' in the new year!

So, did you make any New Year resolutions this holiday season? If you're like most of us, they probably had something to do with weight – watching it, maintaining it, reducing it – and chances are you're looking for all the support you can get.

Your Be Victorious support system: Special K is helping consumers reach their weight-loss goals this resolution season by going digital:

Special K Facebook page – allows users to connect with other women, serving as an always-on network of support to discuss your experience with others, get feedback and share ideas.

Special K site – offers tools, support and on-going contact with the brand, real women and experts from Special K partners.

MSN portal – follow four women on journeys to achieving their Be Victorious moment; also find support from three experts in nutrition, fashion and exercise.

The Special K brand is here to help! On Jan.1, the brand kicked-off its revolutionary, new resolution campaign, "Be Victorious," to help women jump-start their 2010 weight-management goals by taking the Special K Challenge.

You may have seen the Special K brand's teaser advertisement in December, but for the first time ever, the brand launched a full-on media blitz today during several popular morning talk shows, including "Good Morning America," "Today" and "CBS Early Show," to promote the Be Victorious campaign. Also a first for the brand, these ads feature real Special K consumers.

A path to victory

Special K's resolution campaign focuses on the small weight-management victories each of us are capable of achieving – and gives you the tools and support you need to Be Victorious in the new year. To help drive awareness and encourage consumers to take the Special K Challenge, the campaign features various print and TV ads as well as a comprehensive digital strategy.

For updated tips and group support, Special K is offering three unique, digital vehicles: the Special K Facebook page, the Special K Web site and a weight-management portal on MSN.com, featuring experts in nutrition, fashion and exercise (see sidebar for more details).

This year, Special K is helping to connect weight managers like never before by bringing victory to life with six real women who are sharing their own personal weight-loss journeys.

Below, each of the six women shares her own Be Victorious moment:

  • Mary Bayle: My victory is looking into a mirror and liking the woman looking back at me.
  • Jeannie Giannone: My victory is running a marathon.
  • Jacquelyn Penters: My victory is not using my baby as an excuse for that extra five pounds. And to show Isabelle that mommy feels confident.
  • Courtney Rickard: My victory is hearing those four little words: "Have you lost weight?"
  • Kristi Simmons: My victory is not using my arms to cover my stomach.
  • Melissa Woolever: My victory is not using body-shaping undergarments.
