Is it a cold or the flu?
As we all are well aware, this year’s cold and flu season is already here. And with the H1N1 flu virus making matters worse, it looks like it will be a season to remember.
Here are some symptoms to help you determine if you have a cold or the flu. Remember, when in doubt, check with your health care provider.

You can take common-sense steps to limit the spread of colds and flu by doing the following:
- Wash your hands often and use hand sanitizer
- Keep your hands away from your eyes, nose and mouth
- Make sure your diet includes plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains
- Get enough sleep (ideally eight hours)
- Drink 2 liters of water each day
- Take a daily multi-vitamin
- Develop ways to handle stress which weakens the immune system
