In 1978, the archive department was created as a repository to store records and historical materials. One of the earliest items kept here is the original packaging from our first product, Kellogg's Toasted Corn Flakes, manufactured in 1906.
Pictured here is Joyce Rupp, the first archive manager, as she holds original Kellogg’s Pep cereal packaging. Using several promotional slogans including "Pep! Most wonderful food in the world’s history," the cereal was manufactured 1923 to 1981.
Today, archives are kept at headquarters in Battle Creek where more than 100,000 items are stored and maintained. |
