Our company has once again earned a spot on Fortune magazine's annual list of the "World's Most Admired Companies."
For the second consecutive year, Kellogg is ranked sixth among the most admired manufacturers in the global consumer food products industry. Also honored in our industry are Nestlé (ranked No. 1), PepsiCo (2), General Mills (3), Groupe Danone (4) and Unilever (5).
Ranked below Kellogg and listed as "contenders" are Kraft Foods (7), Cadbury plc (8), ConAgra Foods (9), Sara Lee (10) and Dean Foods (11).
The complete "World's Most Admired Companies" list will be published in Fortune's March 16 issue.
Every year, the publication surveys top executives and directors from eligible companies – as well as financial analysts – to determine which companies have the strongest reputations within and across industries. Each company is evaluated in the following areas:
- Quality of management
- Quality of products/services offered
- Innovativeness
- Value as a long-term investment
- Soundness of financial position
- Ability to attract, develop, and keep talented people
- Responsibility to the community and/or the environment
- Wise use of corporate assets
- Effectiveness in conducting its business globally
