Jim Youngs
Ret. Syracuse Zone Sales Manager
Keebler Co.

"This past Sunday, Feb. 12th., my wife and I attended the Kellogg Retirees party at the Manatee Convention Center in Palmetto, Fl. I retired 17 years ago after 36 years service with Keebler Co. This was the first retiree party we have ever attended. We were the only former Keebler people there and though I said I felt like a fish out of water or an outsider, we were heartily welcomed and told we "are part of the family and glad you came- be sure to come back next year!"

Thank you to all of the Kellogg folks who made us feel at home and part of the family. I learned of the party through the internet SeniorK newsletters. Thanks again for a great time and acceptance into the Kellogg Family."

"There are many memories that can be written here but my favorite memory was my very first experience with the Kellogg Company.

I walked into the San Francisco Sales Office in 1970 to hand in my application for employment. Chris Minetti, our Office Manager greeted me and I told her that I would like to set up an appointment to see Mr. Earl Guinn, the Division Manager, regarding a sales position. Unknown to me, Earl was in his office and he overheard my remarks. In a loud, booming voice he said: "Anyone who takes the time to hand-carry an application to our office, I have time to see right now!" Thus started my 32 year career with this fine Company.

It was typical that Kellogg people always put the person and their careers ahead of anything else. Here's wishing you much success in the next hundred years."

Belva E. Shoup
Battle Creek, MI

"My favorite memory was how most people worked like we were family, helping others when needed, teaching others your job and caring about doing your job as if you had interest in the company. It was always quality not how many pounds of cereal went out of the plant.

Tony is my favorite character and I always liked Snap, Crackle, and Pop!"

Jake Harden
Owens Cross Roads, AL

I began my career in August 1963 and helped introduce Froot Loops, Apple Jacks and Pop Tarts into the market. After many years it has been satisfying to look back over the years and see what a contribution these products have made to our profits. We were taught that the right product at the right time would make healthy contributions. Believe me these three products have contributed to the growth of Kellogg's.
