| "I worked at Worthing Foods for 12 years
and enjoyed my time there. I retired in January 2001, and I am enjoying my retirement. I hated the news when they moved away, and tore the building down. I recently drove to Columbus and saw where the building was, and it was a bad feeling."

"I worked for the Keebler for 29 years. My territory was in Louisville Ky. I had many a good day working for Keebler. My first boss, Bill Thielemann was a fine gentleman. He made it fun to work. I worked with many good people over the years. I now spend my winters in Naples, Florida. Thanks to Kellogg for a wonder ride. Good luck and thanks to all who are working now."

"My fondest memory was the "Soft Batch Cookie" Introduction in the Atlanta Zone. I had a rural mountain territory...Ultra conservative and trying to sell my old, staid and conservative customers on a new cookie, and a soft one at that, was a terrible challenge!!! At the sampling , even I disliked the taste, but marveled at technology to produce a soft cookie, and in so many (7?) flavors. The sales pressure was tremendous!! Heretofor unprecedented. I had to exercise every trick, and sales expertise, resorting to begging and whatever else it took to gain extra shelf space and displays. It went into EVERY act...good and bad. Store owners and chains were terribly leery of this NEW idea and concept.
WE made it work!! We drove the competition out of the market. We worked day and night and made us #1 in the Co. The best new item intro, ever. I still see Softbatch choc. chip in my old stores and remember all the hard work and smile with satisfaction that I made it work!!!"

"I worked at Keebler for 36 1/2 years. I retired when the plant in Denver closed. I worked the Saltine Line. I was called a cracker packer. I mostly like all the Keebler & Kellogg products. The elves and Tony the Tiger are my favorite characters."
