Dave Thompson
Marshall, MI

"My favorite memory was working and interacting with so many and different people. Many are gone now, but still remembered.

My favorite Specific Event That Shaped the Company: When we started sending sugar and salt to the New Flavor System in 2 Bldg. (now gone)

My favorite Brand, Product or Characters: The whole Mini Wheat Line. I like "Corny" the best of the characters because he was the first."

Ralph Kelley
Collegeville, PA

"Kellogg was a 300 million dollar company in 1958, my first year. We had about 15 products and were just introducing a 2nd size of Special K. This was the year of the first National Sales Meeting in Chicago. After driving from Bangor, Maine, with felt hat, we took a Pullman from Boston to Chicago, toured the Battle Creek plant following the meeting, and took the Pullman back to Boston. Times have changed. Quality and good nutrition are still key ingredients."

Jerry Johnson
Northglenn, CO

"I started in '62 after I got out of the marines in receiving for about 3 years then went to packing where I ran oven icing line. I did it all, from packing foreman to oven supervisor to mixing foreman to line supervisor. I have moved up over the years and worked most of the shifts where I was needed. I retired in '96 after 34 years of service. it was a great and I have very good memories of great people.

We still keep in touch. Once a month we meet for lunch and talk about old memories. I also belong to the the KARE group (Keebler Association of Retired Employees) we have lunch twice a year and a christmas party every december. My favorite product was saltines, we made the best and still do."

Sandy Johnson
Northglenn, CO

"I worked for Keebler in Denver all total 21 years. I started as a cookie packer in the icing line and worked as a fill in supervisor. I left to raise my two children and returned for 3 years as tour guide. In 1986 I was called in to fill in as a q.a. inspector for 6 months and when another job opened I went full time as a q.a. inspector covering all vacations working all shifts. After the girl retired on 3rd shift Ii took her position and worked that shift until I retired in 97.

I loved working at Keebler as you can tell by how many times I came back the people were great and I made many friends over the years and still have a lot of those friends. We also have a retirement group from keebler that meets 3 times a year for luncheons. It was the best job I ever had."
