Kellogg supports Haiti earthquake relief efforts with $250,000 grant

On Wednesday, January 13, our company announced a $250,000 donation to the American Red Cross to assist with earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The contribution is being made by Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund, our company's charitable arm.

Employees and retirees are also encouraged to help support relief efforts by donating to the American Red Cross. Each donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the company (see below for details).

"This disaster has devastated what is already one of the poorest countries in the world," says Celeste Clark, Senior Vice President, Global Nutrition, Corporate Affairs and Chief Sustainability Officer. "The situation for the people of Haiti is dire, and we believe it is critical for us to provide support to relief efforts."

For the past year, Kellogg has partnered with a humanitarian organization to provide food in Haiti. We will work with this organization and others involved in relief efforts to continue to provide food products.

How can I make a donation?

Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund (KCCF) will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for donations made by employees and retirees to the American Red Cross.

Who's eligible?

• Active, full-time, salaried and hourly employees, and retirees based in the U.S.

How does the program work?

• KCCF will make a dollar-for-dollar match of check and credit card donations to the American Red Cross for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.
• Minimum donation per employee or retiree is $25.
• Donations must be made prior to June 30, 2010.

Is there a limit on donations?

• KCCF will dollar-for-dollar match, up to a maximum of $5,000 per employee or retiree for this effort.
