Kellogg helped a little clownfish named Nemo find his way to Washington, D.C., Sunday, March 23, to take part in the 2008 White House Easter Egg Roll.

Our company contributed 5,000 packages of our Kellogg's Finding Nemo Fruit Flavored Snacks to be given to the children who attended the annual event. Held nearly every year since 1878, the Easter Egg Roll has become a highly anticipated tradition during which kids are invited to the South Lawn of the White House for egg rolling and other activities and entertainment.

Kellogg's presence at the event was quite an honor since branded products typically aren't distributed during the Easter Egg Roll.

Nemo fit into the festivities quite well given that the theme of this year's Easter Egg Roll was the importance of ocean conservation to our national heritage, economy and security. As children explored the White House grounds yesterday, they learned about the world's oceans and how to preserve them for future generations.

President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush hosted the event, which featured entertainment by teen pop stars the Jonas Brothers along with Mickey Mouse, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, characters from "Sesame Street" – and, of course, an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Nemo is the hero of 2003's "Find Nemo," the Academy Award-winning animated feature by Disney and Pixar. Kellogg's Finding Nemo Fruit Flavored Snacks were introduced in 2004.

The launch of our Kellogg's Indiana Jones Fruit Flavored Snacks leads up to a major global promotion tied to the release of the long-awaited "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," set to hit theaters May 22.
