Retirees participate in Feeding America food drive

Earlier this year, Kellogg announced it's commitment to fight hunger in the United States through a multi-phase effort designed to increase awareness of this crisis and raise funds in this important effort.

Employees and retirees across the U.S. took part in the June 17 food drive phase of this campaign. Approximately 47,000 pounds of food was collected at the 34 company-sponsored venues. This amount, in combination with 3.5 million pounds of cereal donated by Kellogg, is equal to the weight of 44 tractor-trailers!

Here are photos from the Battle Creek food drive.

Please share your Feeding America photos from your event or volunteer effort through the Message Board here at SeniorK.com.

You can still visit KelloggCares on Facebook to donate

The fight against hunger continues and you still have time to make a difference.

Over 211,000 people have become fans of the KelloggCares Facebook page, have you?

Employees and retirees are asked to continue spreading the word about our campaign through the KelloggCares page to all of their Facebook friends using their home computer (since Facebook is not accessible from work computers).

In addition, employees, retirees and consumers can still donate to Feeding America by visiting www.kelloggs.com/feedingamerica. Those making a donation of $5 or more will receive Kellogg's cereal coupons worth a total of $5.
