For more than 100 years, corporate responsibility has been at the foundation of our company and a key part of our heritage and culture.

In recognition of our company's continuing corporate responsibility efforts, Corporate Responsibility Magazine announced at a New York press conference yesterday that Kellogg ranked 58th on its 11th annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list.

"Company stakeholders, such as investors and customers, watch the '100 Best Corporate Citizens List' closely and are using it now more than ever to make important decisions," says Jay Whitehead, publisher of Corporate Responsibility Magazine. "As a result, we're seeing leading companies focusing in greater numbers on their public reporting and performance."

To determine the "100 Best" list, Corporate Responsibility Magazine evaluates 1000 global companies on seven criteria: Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Philanthropy, Employee Relations, Financial Performance and Governance. Companies are then ranked based on publicly available data in these categories.

The list was first published in 1999 by Business Ethics Magazine and has been managed by Corporate Responsibility Magazine since 2007. Kellogg was previously recognized for its efforts in 2006 and 2007.

The full list and methodology will be published in the "100 Best Corporate Citizens" issue of Corporate Responsibility Magazine, available beginning March 9 at www.thecro.com.
