    Battle Creek Retirees' Association:

The Battle Creek Retirees' Association Summer Picnic was well attended again this year with about 400 retirees enjoying a meal together and sharing good times. Prizes were raffled off as always and retirees delighted in winning. Thanks to the company, a variety of Kellogg products were handed out to retirees. Thanks also to those who organize this annual event, which will be at the Marshall Activity Center again next year.

All nearby retirees are encouraged to attend the Christmas Gala, December 12, at McCamly Plaza. This is a very festive event and helps us celebrate another year together. Contact Battle Creek Retirees Association President Bernard Jones to purchase tickets.

Enjoying the Battle Creek summer picnic are Grant and Betty Cary. Doris Nelson and Betty Malvaney share memories at the Battle Creek picnic.

The historic city of Charleston, S.C., was the site of the 15th Annual Southern Region Reunion on September 27-30. Many retirees enjoyed cruises of the harbor, history, dinners and golf during the get-together, all wonderfully arranged by hosts Ben and Bettie Irvin and Ray and Polly Bateman.
