Checking Out Alternative Medicine | ||
|
When it comes to their health care, a growing number of people are opting for, or at least contemplating, treatments that aren't considered conventional or part of the medical mainstream. Interest in "alternative" or "complementary" medicine, as it's known, is increasing, but researching these topics can be difficult. That's because there's not as much information yet available concerning alternative treatments as there is about their conventional counterparts. To help, April's edition of Steps to Good Health provides a useful primer on the major types of alternative medicine and how to make informed decisions about what may be right for you. Read it now. For additional information, we're also offering a trio of National Institutes of Health publications that focus further on alternative medicine. Simply click on the titles below to download the PDFs.
